Virtual Home Work Club

OCCSC Virtual Youth Homework Club Introduction:

1. Teenagers can register according to the subjects they need tutoring in school.
2. OCCSC recruits, interviews and trains volunteers
3. OCCSC matches volunteers based on the needs of the registered students, their expertise, and their matching schedules.
4. Once a week, young people bring their homework and meet with volunteer teachers online via Zoom to receive one-on-one or one-on-two academic tutoring. Young people also have the opportunity to take turns presenting their interests and hobbies in the team, leading interactive games, and earning volunteer hours.

Objectives:

Help teens with their schoolwork, make new friends, and provide a safe, encouraging environment with the opportunity to earn volunteer hours.

Eligibility :

Immigrant youth in Ontario in Grades 7-12

Tutoring Projects:

English French Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry

Tutoring time:

From January 2024, every Tuesday night from 7:00pm to 8:30pm
